What's the Best Way to Celebrate Your 17th Anniversary? Get Married, of course!

"Dear family and friends, we have gathered together to celebrate love.  It is with thoughtfulness and a deep realization of their commitment to each other that Kathy and Carin have chosen to stand before you today and make this declaration of love and loyalty on their 17th anniversary of their commitment to each other."
And so their wedding ceremony began.

I truly enjoyed meeting Carin and Kathy ... and their family and friends.

The two crafted beautiful wording and two of Carin's nieces, who traveled from California to be in Monroe, song a medley of four love songs.

Kathy and Carin exchanged their wedding vows at the home of Travis, a close mutual friend.  They are standing in front of some amazing 35-year-old blueberry bushes that would be the envy of any gardener.

And check out these cake toppers.  A relative of Carin's brought them from her native country, The Netherlands.  They are so cute!!!!

The "brides" are sitting atop an almond cake, another Netherlands tradition.

Wishing the two another 17 sweet, sweet years together ... and then another .... and another!

Chris and Sarah's June Wedding at the Tyee Yacht Club!

It was a beautiful June day when Sarah and Chris married and celebrated their union.  Sarah was stunning and Chris was his handsome self.  And their love for each other is palpable!

It was a pleasure getting to know them through our premarital sessions and was delightful to be invited to celebrate with them too.

OK ... June weddings in Seattle are a bit of a gamble ... but look at the summer sky framing the bride and groom.  Picture perfect!

Sarah selected her favorite photos and shared them with us.  Kudos to Nikki Closser for the images.

The two rented this adorable boat.  Sarah used it as her "waiting room" and we also signed the marriage certificate there.  After the ceremony, the two took a private tour of Lake Union to take in the moment.  So romantic!

Wishing Chris and Sarah a lovely, harmonious, long-lived and joyous marriage!

And thanks to all the professionals who came together to make their wedding a wonderful day:
