High School Sweethearts Wed at Lakewold Gardens

Patrica and Robert kiss at Lakewold GardensRobert and Patricia were high school sweethearts. Their first date was a Homecoming Dance and  they have been together ever since.  They realized they were too young to wed and decided to wait to marry until Patricia completed her degree at the UW. So it was no surprise when Robert proposed but it was a day long waited for.

So many scenic spots at Lakewold Gardens to take photos
Dreaming of their wedding day and being a planner, Patricia thought it would be helpful to have some wedding sites in mind when Robert actually popped the question.  In her researching, she came across Lakewold Gardens and when the two were engaged they visited.  Although it was a dreary, rainy day in January and nothing was in bloom, they both knew it was the perfect wedding site for them.  They wanted an outdoor wedding and loved the views of the water.

Patricia then found the perfect dress for the perfect location.

Isn't this hanger such a sweet idea!

And the perfect shoes.

The two couldn't take their eyes off each other.
And Patricia couldn't wait to share the joy of her dress with him.

Soon, the wedding party joined them and it was time to "get married."

Lakewold Gardens has a fantastic entrance for the bride.   Patricia entered with her father, Mickey.

The ceremony began ... and the emotional tears of joy began too.

Patricia's wedding vows were filled with loving emotion

Patricia shared her personal words with Robert:

"You are the love of my life and you make me happier than I could ever imagine and more loved than I even thought possible.  I can't think of my life without you.  We have shared many beautiful moments and I'm excited to begin this journey with you."

Finally, the long awaited moment when they became "husband and wife!"

Robbie and I can not thank you enough for helping us put together such an amazing ceremony.  It truly reflected us and created such a soft, warm and loving atmosphere in a perfect setting.  Thank you for being prepared and giving me a tissue when I had trouble saying my vows:)  You did a phenomenal job and we couldn't be happier.  Thanks again for being a part of our special day!

A Halloween Tale of Love and Marriage

 whitney and Alli

We met Alli and Whitney at the Sanctuary at Admiral's open house earlier this year.  (We love open houses!) All of us were enjoying the evening:  food, music, entertainment, good company.  It was a memorable evening and we looked forward to getting to know the two... and to help them plan a great ceremony.
Wedding dress
Alli selected the perfect dress for her!  She looked gorgeous in it.

The entire wedding party looked great!

Shabby chic wedding program

Whitney and Alli are creative people.  They worked with Aaron Bloom to create the right look for their wedding programs and with Bella Signature Events for the overall design of the wedding, which had a "shabby chic" quality.

The ceremony took place in front of the stage, framed by a glittery half-circle garland. Alex Ho provided the cello music.
Alli and Whitney's wedding ceremony at the Sanctuary at Admiral

The bride and her parentsOne of my favorite parts of the ceremony was when Alli and Whitney presented calla lilies to their mothers.  Calla lilies were the favorite flower of Alli's grandmother, Angela, so they had sentimental meaning for Alli.  They connect three generations of women in her family.  Alli also loves how calla lilies are so often depicted in Diego Rivera’s vibrant artwork.  The images of the flowers being so visually interesting and symbolically rich.

Whitney and Alli's wedding ceremony had moments of light heart

A
nd, of course, the story of how they met. It was love at first sight around Halloween.  They worked next door to each other and wore costumes the entire month of October. So many happy memories!

Bella Signature Design arranged the decor for Alli and Whitney's wedding

Then, on to the cocktail hour while the room was reset for the reception.  The space looked absolutely beautiful!

Pat and Kent - four photo booth picutres

Kent and I always enjoy photo booths.  What can be more fun?  Love my new eye wear ... and Kent was dashing in his black hat.  Thank you Happymatic Photo Booth!

We are certain Whitney and Alli were meant for each other.  You could see them light up whenever they are together.  It was a joy to share their wedding day with them.   Their ceremony concluded with well wishes for a happy marriage, part of which was:

"May your journey together from this day forward be blessed always.
May your steps be guided by the love you have found in one another ..."

Whitney and Alli, dimples and more dimples
We are back from a wonderful honeymoon.  Thank you so much for the absolutely beautiful ceremony and for helping us make our wedding day so special.  Whitney and I and our families were very touched by your words!  Thank you for everything!

A Classic Wedding At Clise Mansion

Photo of Neil and Kathryn Photo by Patricia Stimac
Kathryn and Neil married at Clise Mansion in Marymoor Park.  It was one of those uncertain weather days -- thunderstorms alternating with sun breaks.

We all wished for good weather before the ceremony so the wedding party could walk outside to porch ... and then enter through the opposite the fireplace in the hall.

Kathryn really wanted to be married there.

The candlelight set the mood - romantic - and seasonal floral arrangements by Willows and Bloom set the tone - autumnal.

Thistle highlighted some of the centerpieces, while sage and "biege" roses were the stars of others.

Prior to the wedding, the bride, groom and wedding party hung out upstairs in the comfortable lounge area.  It is so convenient and has a rest room too.  Very nice.

Kathryn found a place on the floor, her dress spreading out around her.

The storm passed by about 30 minutes before the ceremony.  Kathryn and her father followed the wedding party to the "staging area."  Two of the guys held a sheet to protect the bride from being seen by the guests.  It was an thoughtful and sweet touch ... working out just as Kathryn wanted!

Everyone lined up on the porch.  As you can see, the bridesmaids wore rich charcoal-colored dresses.  It was a beautiful color.

It was the moment to walk down the aisle.  Kathryn was looking excited and happy and eager and marvelous.

The ceremony began:  sweet and simple with traditional vows.

The two were looking pretty happy.

The cake was a hit!  It had a chocolate layer which greatly pleased Kent.  I think the other two layers were carrot cake and lemon (don't quote me on that).
