Ryan and Natalie's Wedding at Hidden Meadows

The day was amazing!!! March was in its "lamb" phase ... to the delight of everyone, especially the couple, Natalie and Ryan.

Here are their words:

THANK YOU! We are so pleased with absolutely everything! It's amazing how you plan for the day months in advance with the hope that it will turn out. In our case, it did!  Thank you Pat. You are amazing and we enjoyed every minute of working with you.

Ryan and Natalie had decided to enroll in our premarital preparation, which was a good experience and gave us an opportunity to learn about each other before we began planning for their ceremony. I was just so happy for them!

Family and friends happily gathered at Hidden Meadows to witness and celebrate their wedding vows. The hall was festive and filled to capacity, the words crafted with care to reflect them, the music inspired.

Flowers were laid precisely for the bride, with great care and attention.

The anticipation of Natalie actually walking down the aisle with her father was irrepressible.

Tears of joy and words of love were expressed as the rings were exchanged and the vows were sealed.

Then, it was time to relax and celebrate. Guests made their way to the reception hall and the wedding party stayed together, more photographs were taken and all shared the joy of the moment.

Ryan and Natalie had a chance to just be together and take in the moment before the wedding party formally entered the reception.

A
t the end of the evening, guests gathered, sparklers in hand, to see the couple off.

A sweet end to a wonderful day!

Bill & Martha Wed on St. Patrick's Day in Downtown Seattle!

What a fun, engaging, thoughtful, playful, imaginative wedding! Kent and I felt so tickled to be included. (OK, St. Pat's is a special day for me too ... even if I'm not Irish born.)

Martha wanted an outdoor wedding. Waking up to raindrops, my heart was sad. But, having the perspective that rain or shine the wedding would outside, we set up on the rooftop and hoped for the best. By 3:17pm, it was dazzling!

So many people contributed to the celebration. Martha's father, Bob, cooked a pre-ceremony lunch of corned beef and cabbage. Yummy!

Martha wore a vintage Kelly-green jacket, over a white dress that Bill had bought for her during their courtship, topped by a fur family members in Florida sent her. Everyone in the family pitched in to make it a very special day.

A ceremony tailored specifically for this holiday was crafted. Heartfelt vows were exchanged. Joy filled everyone's hearts.

What is more fitting for a unity celebration than creating a "Black Velvet," Guinness and champagne. (I was a bit skeptical about the taste, never having tasted one ... one taste and I was sold!)

It was the people who made the wedding special. So many relatives and friends traveled to witness and celebrate the day. Jeremy and Marie, the witnesses, came from California to toast the couple. Others from Massachusetts and just about every where. Friendships developed quickly and all had a great time!!

Tulips and kisses under an umbrella (yes, they were prepared just in case of rain) brought the ceremony part of the afternoon to a close.

A very good day, a very good wedding, a very wonderful couple! Our best to you!!!

Michael & Christy - A Heartfelt Wedding Ceremony at Pravda Studios

C
hristy and Michael are so in love! I don't know how many handkerchiefs were used during the ceremony: tears of joy, tears of hope, tears of faith. We felt so honored to be part of this amazing evening.

The bride and groom decided to be traditional and not see each other before the ceremony.

C
hristy and her maid of honor, Leslie, were in good spirits while they awaited the start of the ceremony.

Kent and I felt so fortunate to be able to officiate together. (It doesn't happen that often and we were delighted.) We vicariously affirm our vows to each other while we celebrate the joy of the couple.

I always enjoy when couples share thoughts about each other before the vows. I think it is my favorite part of the ceremony. (We help with this part if couples' wish.)

As with all weddings, parents and siblings were most happy.

The creation of the ceremony is a very cooperative experience. Michael, Christy and I decided on the lighting of candles to reflect the principles of marriage they believed in. Seven qualities were selected. Siblings and cousins were invited to each present the quality and light a candle before Christy and Michael unified them all by lighting the central candle.

Yes, tears flowed, hearts were brimming, and smiles abounded as congratulations were offered by Christy's folks.

After the ceremony, the marriage certificate was signed after a few couple's photos were taken and the cocktail hour was in progress.

Sunny days are in the forecast for Michael and Christy. If a few showers do occur, they will be prepared!

Kent and I wish them the very best in their married life!!!
